A Letter to America

Our nation began in 1776 with a declaration of independence from the tyranny of a mad king. So grave were the king’s abuses of power that they had become injurious to the lives, liberties and happiness of the people, negating the moral justification for his rule. Almost 250 years later, we find ourselves once again under threat from a ruinous regime working to dismantle our nation and revoke our hard won rights and freedoms. Their goal is to make America a tyranny again.

Donald Trump and his confederacy of oligarchs, led by Elon Musk, have turned a presidential election into a coup with the intention to revoke our Constitution, and destroy the liberties it guarantees to ourselves and our posterity.

Donald Trump is insane. His pronouncements are a series of malicious orders and grandiose fantasies meant to terrorize free people into submission. His actions are corrupt, an unabashed display of self-dealing and solicitation of bribery. This situation cannot be allowed to continue lest our nation and its people suffer irreparable harm.

On January 20, 2025, Donald Trump took an oath: "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

He has betrayed that oath from his first day in office with outrageous abuses of power, by issuing corrupt pardons and unconstitutional, unconscionable, as well as ridiculous, decrees. Every day since he has been on a rampage to seize, for the his self-enrichment and that of his confederacy of oligarchs, our national treasures, and our confidential information in order to control us; has acted to destroy our public services by summarily firing tens of thousands of dedicated public servants who protect our health and safety, adding insult to injury by defaming their service. He has put in place obsequious and unqualified officials to use the high offices of our government as instruments of coercion and personal vendetta. He has incited his supporters to make death threats against judges and other officials acting as a check on his program of tyranny. He has waged a campaign of economic warfare against our neighbors, made threats of invasion against our long time allies while serving the interests of the dictator of Russia, thus jeopardizing our national security. He has disgraced America in the eyes of the world, while casting a shadow of fear and suffering on our people.

Trump and his oligarchs’ actions are not random. They are the deliberate destruction of a free country. Let the facts be submitted to a candid world.

CORRUPT PARDONS

On his first day in office, Trump issued blanket pardons to his violent confederates who had mounted a coup attempt at his instigation on Jan 6, 2021 during the certification of his opponent’s electoral victory. Not only did these pardons release from prison more than two hundred duly convicted dangerous felons, they sent the message that those who commit crimes on his behalf will pay no penalty.

EXECUTIVE ORDER PURPORTING OVERTURN THE CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT TO CITIZENSHIP AS A BIRTHRIGHT

The Constitution cannot be overturned by decree, nor does the citizenship of one’s parents impact the citizenship right of every American-born person. The point is the motive. Without the protection of birthright citizenship, a tyrant is free to revoke the citizenship of anyone for any reason. The Jews of Germany were not immigrants. Their ancestors had lived there for hundreds of years, often prior to the establishment of Germany as a nation. They were stripped of their citizenship, deported to concentration camps, and their property confiscated. Trump is following in the footsteps of fascism, only this time the scapegoat is unauthorized immigrants. The end is the same: only slavish obedience to the tyrant will suffice as the measure of a citizen. Want your neighbor’s house? Turn them in for disloyalty and receive their house as a reward. That’s how it works out in the end.

D.O.G.E – A PROGRAM FOR FRAUD , ABUSE AND CONTROL

Trump’s largest campaign donor, Elon Musk, has bought a license to steal both government contracts and the confidential financial, legal and medical information of every American. An agency serious about ferreting out waste, fraud and abuse does NOT, as its first act fire 18 Inspector Generals, the people charged by Congress to be the watchdogs, nor decapitate the agencies investigating Musk and his business for safety violations, workplace abuses and financial irregularities in the performance of the government contracts that have made him wealthy. Among the agencies investigating his misconduct: the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the Department of Labor, OSHA, the FAA, the Securities Exchange Commission, the Department of Justice. He has canceled contracts awarded to competitors and reassigned them to his own business. The arbitrary mass firings of civil servants is for the ultimate goal of privatizing government service into the hands of oligarchs. This is a theft from the American people and our posterity.

It is the implementation of Project 2025 that Trump claimed to know nothing about. Some of their plans:

1)The USPS eliminated – turned into a for-profit service. The only reason our rural communities have a post office nearby is because it is a service – because we are unprofitable.

2)Social Security funds confiscated and turned over to Wall Street. Every winning sale in the stock market needs a loser on the other side – that’s us in their plan.

3) Our National Parks – turned over to logging, mining and luxury estates with golf courses. (the ones that are being logged and mined won’t be the same places where the luxury estates are – it never is. The pollution is always situated where the low-income people live.

4) Our weather service – want to know if a tornado is on the way? That will cost you. No weather report subscription? Oh well…

5)How are you going to pay for all these things the government used to give you? With great difficulty, because labor unions are on the chopping block. It’s no accident that one of Musk’s first moves was to cripple the National Labor Relations Board that protects the right to organize. Smashing unions is the oligarchs’ fever dream.

6) Removal of environmental protections in order to allow corporations to poison us and rob the next generation of a future in the service of their bottom lines. This is damage that can’t be undone. The reason we have an EPA is because the skies used to be brown and the rivers were so poisoned they caught fire. The fish in our lakes weren’t safe to eat. The destruction of the environment upon which all life depends mandates the Trump regime’s immediate removal by any means necessary.

The most sinister of acts by Musk and his staff is the hacking into every government computer database, especially those that control payments. They have already frozen funds on a mass scale and stopped payments owed to individuals and local governments – even, in the case of New York, withdrawn funds from the state’s bank account previously deposited. Various individuals have suddenly had their Social Security benefits halted claiming they are dead. These are dry runs of the creation of a system to do this to anyone in order to force submission. This level of control is no longer the stuff of science fiction – they have the technology to cut off funds to anyone, to identify any opponent and use the power of government to attack them. Criticized Trump on social media – benefits halted. Running for office as a Democrat? Bank account frozen. Brought a lawsuit against the regime? IRS audit.

Musk and his oligarchs believe it is time for Americans to get over our aversion to dictatorship. They want a “National CEO.” A CEO is the dictator in a company and you as an employee have no say but to quit if you hate it there. How do you quit a “National CEO?”

ATTACKS ON THE FIRST AMENDMENT

One of Trump’s first acts was an absurd decree announcing that the Gulf of Mexico would henceforth be called the Gulf of America. This is more than an embarrassing display of megalomania – there is a method to this madness. It is loyalty test – any reputable press outlet refusing to use his terminology is then banned from the White House press room. He has attacked individual media organizations who give him critical coverage, or give the Democratic party a platform as “illegal.” He has not attacked any media that praises him. These actions alone justify his immediate removal by any means necessary because they are a prelude to the standard practice of all tyrannies – making opposition parties illegal and telling the truth forbidden.

CORRUPTION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE

Trump has installed corrupt functionaries in the DOJ in order to use the heavy arm of the law to exact retribution against those who attempted to hold him accountable for his past crimes, and to make an example of those who stand up by purging honest officials who abide by the Constitution. If the executive branch won’t enforce any law but Trump’s whims, we don’t have a Constitution. We have a king. This alone justifies his immediate removal by any means necessary.

ATTACKS ON THE FIFTH AMENDMENT AND INVOCATION OF ALIEN ENEMIES ACT

Trump illegally invoked the Alien Enemies Act, falsely claiming there is an invasion of the United States by Venezuela to justify deporting over 200 Venezuelan nationals he asserts are members of a gang, and disappear them to a prison in El Salvador. None of these individuals have been brought before to a court nor convicted of any crime – they have literally been kidnapped. By singling out a disfavored group – violent Venezuelan gangs – he hopes to deflect public alarm. The whole purpose of the principle of habeas corpus under law, is that a person imprisoned has the right to go to court to dispute the accusation/detention. The specious invocation of the Alien Enemies Act is meant to get around that.

If those individuals were Venezuelan nationals in the US without permission, whether they are gang members or not, he has the right to deport them to Venezuela. By what right does he send anyone to a concentration camp in El Salvador where they are forced to engage in slave labor? Without due process in court, anyone could be snatched in this manner – and I mean anyone. If this is done to you, how do you get out? This act by Trump alone justifies his removal by any means necessary.

Trump has also attacked the right to legal representation by issuing decrees naming specific law firms as persona non grata in federal buildings because they have represented political opponents of Trump or whistle blowers speaking out about his crimes and misconduct. The purpose of this is to make law firms afraid to represent anyone Trump disfavors, lest they be put out of business. This is nothing less than the dismantling of the system of justice.

GANGSTERISM AND WAR CRIMES: THREATS TO INVADE AND SEIZE CANADA, GREENLAND AND PANAMA

Waging war against another nation without justification to seize its territory is a war crime. Economic threats delivered in the manner of a mobster collecting protection money is no better. Even worse are these attacks when mounted against our allies. Calling for the forcible removal of the Palestinian people from Gaza, a war crime, in order to create a Trump owned real estate development. Any one of these intentions mandates his immediate removal by the 25th Amendment because he is demented.

However, his GOP allies are either too corrupt or terrified to meet their obligations to the nation. In fact, they are responsible for all of this. This justifies action by the people to remove Trump and his confederates by any means necessary.

TREASON

In two short months, Trump has made our country an international pariah. Outraged nations are boycotting trade with us, causing needless economic harm to our people. This weakening of the United States realizes the geopolitical goals of long time adversary, Vladimir Putin of Russia. It appears Trump has made a pact with Putin to divide Ukraine between them as plunder, plans to withdraw us from NATO in order to enable Putin’s desired conquest of Europe, has eased sanctions on Putin, a war criminal, and seeks Russia’s re-admission into the G7. He has stood down military cyber operations against Russia while they daily mount attacks against us and on allies in the free world. He appointed a head of the Defense Department who has publicly expressed his willingness to commit war crimes at Trump’s direction and who has fired the military JAG’s who monitor the legality of orders, including the use of our military against us.

Trump has appointed an agent of Russia to head our intelligence agencies, causing our allies to no longer feel safe sharing intelligence with us. He may well be an agent of Russia himself. Whether that is an official or unofficial relationship is a distinction without a difference. He is a traitor.

Trump said that anyone saving the country breaks no law. Our country needs saving from him. We were promised that our Constitution defended us from tyranny. It turns out that it is we, the American people, who must defend it. That time is now.
